Employment characteristics and transitions of mothers in the Longitudinal Study of Australian Children

A report commissioned by the Australian Government Department of Social Services.

Four waves of Growing Up in Australia: The Longitudinal Study of Australian Children data are used to explore mothers' participation in paid employment. The data are exploited to examine mothers' transitions into and out of work and between jobs of different types as children grow or as new children are born.
