Longitudinal Research

Deborah Louwen joined AIFS in January 2019 to assist with the implementation of the third wave of data collection for Ten to Men: The Australian Longitudinal Study on Male Health. 

As the Cohort Manager in the Longitudinal and Lifecourse Studies team, Deborah develops and implements respondent engagement strategies with a view to increase participant affinity and loyalty. She has over 10 years’ experience in establishing and designing study materials and incentive initiatives. 

Deborah has previously worked on many longitudinal studies, and extensively on the Household Income and Labour Dynamics in Australia (HILDA) study. Deborah has experience in various fieldwork roles including questionnaire design, development and testing, study material development, interviewing (CATI & CAWI) and interviewer training. 

Deborah currently works on Ten to Men and Growing Up in Australia: The Longitudinal Study of Australian Children (LSAC).
