Dr Lixia Qu is a Senior Research Fellow at the Australian Institute of Family Studies. She has undertaken a range of research in the areas of family transitions and wellbeing, particularly relating to issues such as relationship stability and its impacts on financial living standards and personal wellbeing, parenting arrangements after separation. Her research work also includes examining the impact of domestic and family violence on parenting and children’s wellbeing after parental separation. Lixia has also made important contribution to various evaluations of amendments to the Family Law Act (1975).
