Rachel Moody is a Senior Research Officer in the Defence and Veteran Family Research Team, and also assists the Family Law, Family Violence and Elder Abuse Research Team.Rachel was admitted to the Supreme Court of Western Australia in 2022, and she worked as a family law solicitor prior to joining AIFS. Alongside her legal practice, Rachel also developed experience undertaking socio-legal research. She examined and analysed family law jurisprudence and the family law system, with a particular focus on economic justice and family violence. Rachel presented some of her research findings, alongside Professor Robyn Carroll of the University of Western Australia, at the AIFS Conference in 2022.
