About the research team
LSAC is funded by the Australian Government and conducted in partnership between:
- Department of Social Services (DSS) who provides overall management and funding
- Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS) who is responsible for the:
- design and content of the study
- data management
- research
- dissemination.
- Roy Morgan who is responsible for the:
- data collection and delivery
- instrument development
- management of the Growing Up in Australia sample.
A consortium of leading researchers at research institutions and universities throughout Australia provides advice to the study.

Longitudinal Head
Kirsten Campbell is the Longitudinal Head for the Growing Up in Australia study. She oversees the management of the:

- Methodology
- Fieldwork activities
- Data management and releases
- Analysis
- Publications
Survey methodology team
Our survey methodology team is responsible for:
- content development
- development of survey research methodology
- participant engagement
- fieldwork management
- ethics approvals.

Data management and linkage team
Our data management and linkage team is responsible for:
- processing, storing and releasing LSAC’s survey and linked data
- supporting data users by preparing metadata documentation such as the Data User Guide and Data dictionary
- assisting with data-related queries and conducting workshops.
The data management and linkage team includes:

Research and analysis team
Our research and analysis team conducts analyses of LSAC data and prepares reports such as snapshots, commissioned reports, inquire submissions, publications and conference presentations.
