Data dictionary

The data dictionary provides information about the variables in Ten to Men over the course of the study, including question text, variable names, variable labels, research domains, instruments, waves, number of responses and populations. Some of the material included or referred to in the data dictionary is subject to copyright.

The Ten to Men Data Dictionary is available in 2 formats:

  • The downloadable excel data dictionary [XLSX 852 KB] contains all the same metadata as the online version. We recommend this for users who are more advanced, require custom filtering of the metadata, or need offline access.
  • Our online data dictionary is an interactive platform within this website. It features several ways of navigating the Ten to Men metadata, via directed searching by keyword or variable name.
