Thanks for being part of Ten to Men, Australia’s largest longitudinal study on male health.

Wave 5

We are entering our fifth round of the study, Wave 5.

Due to the nature of longitudinal surveys (following people over time to detect changes), your contribution is one of a kind and we are incredibly grateful.

Our latest survey is now open and ready for you to complete.

Start your survey

When you participate, you are providing real experiences that will help researchers and policy makers from universities, service providers, not-for-profit organisations and government departments understand the complexities and challenges related to your overall health. This information will help shape programs, services and policies for all Australian men and boys now and into the future.

Your $30 e-gift card

To show our appreciation of your continued participation, you will receive one $30 e-gift card upon completion of your Wave 5 survey. You can choose to spend this at a listed retailer, or donate it to:

What you will be asked about

We have prepared a survey that includes a broad range of topics relating to male health. Some of the questions are new and some of the questions we have asked you before. The topics covered in your survey include:

  • Medical conditions and disabilities
  • Education, training and work
  • Alcohol, smoking and drug use
  • Relationships and support
  • Current living arrangements
  • Life experiences

How to complete your survey

You will receive a letter and an email containing a link to the online survey with your unique log-in code. Follow the link, log in and complete your survey.

You can complete your survey at any time

We are asking participants to complete the survey online before 29 August 2024 for the opportunity to be randomly selected to receive a $500 e-gift card. The earlier you complete your survey, the more chances you have of being selected.

Who is conducting the research

The Australian Institute of Family Studies (AIFS) in collaboration with the Social Research Centre (SRC) will conduct this survey. Ten to Men is funded by the Australian Government Department of Health and Aged Care and guided by the National Men’s Health Strategy 2020-2030.

Participation in the study is voluntary and you can withdraw from the study at any time.
